Revolizer - Pharmaceutics

Pharmacopoeial standards are regulatory procedures continue to evolve, leading to refinement in the definition of requirements for device performance required at the time of evaluation.

Uniformity of delivered dose
Studies have shown that dose delivery is uniform and similar over a wide range of flow rates using Revolizer. All emitted doses are between + or – 25% of the nominal dose when tested at the flow rate of 60 L/min.

Fine particle dose
The proportion of the delivered dose from an inhalation devices that is available to the lung is known as the fine particle or ‘respirable’ fraction. This correlates with the drug dose that reaches the lung during inhalation.

The fine particle fraction is quantifiable in vitro from material recovered from appropriate stages of a variety of commercially available, standardized laboratory bench facsimiles of the lung operated according to international  pharmacopoeial standards. The characteristics of the fine particle fraction using the revolizer have been assessed using the Anderson cascade Impactor.
